Stellar Nexus

Overview

What is Stellar Nexus?

A turn-based 4X space strategy game. You command one of four civilisations across a procedural hex galaxy. Build colonies, research tech, raise fleets, declare wars, sign treaties. Submit your turn whenever you like — opponents do the same, and the engine resolves the round once everyone has played.

Stellar Nexus is a 4X strategy game built on three principles:

Asynchronous play. Submit your turn, walk away, come back. Multiplayer doesn’t ask everyone to be online at the same time — it asks everyone to have submitted their orders by the deadline. Real life happens; the galaxy waits.

Asymmetric factions. Four civilisations with different starting fleets, different bonuses, and different paths through the mid-game. The Terran Directorate plays nothing like the Nyx Collective. Pick the one that matches how you like to think.

Strategic depth without bloat. Eight resources, six ship classes, four factions, dozens of techs and buildings. Enough complexity to reward planning. Not so much that a single turn takes an hour.

The game is in active development. The interface is an early prototype, and most systems are still being polished. See the roadmap for a current snapshot of what’s playable.

Your empire

Explore

Scout nebulae, discover anomalies, chart the galaxy. Each terrain has its own movement cost and its own rewards.

Expand

Found colonies on habitable star systems. Each one runs an economy: income, maintenance, production queues, defence garrison.

Exploit

Tune resource flows, choose a tech path, route trade. Strategy compounds — your second-turn pick reverberates into the late game.

Exterminate

When diplomacy fails, fleet engagements resolve over up to ten rounds with counter relationships between ship classes.
