Faction
Orion Hegemony
A militaristic empire that believes strength is the only true currency in the galaxy.
Lore
Forged in the crucible of the Orion Arm border wars, the Hegemony maintains the largest standing fleet in known space. Their doctrine is simple: control the stars, control the future. Diplomacy is merely war conducted at a slower pace.

Playstyle
Opener. Three ships at start (one scout, two patrol frigates) and a -15% fleet maintenance modifier. Your early game is a war of pressure: scout fast, contest the nearest neutral systems, deny rivals expansion.
Mid-game. Convert military pressure into territorial dominance. Your fleet upkeep advantage means you can field more ships per mineral than anyone else. Strike before opponents complete their tech curve.
Late game. If you’re still ahead at this point, you’ve already won — keep your boot on their neck. If you’re not, you’ve lost the timing window; pivot to defence, build capital ships, force a war of attrition.
Hard against: Vanguard Nomads — they refuse engagements you want to fight. Easy against: Nyx Collective in early-game; their initial fleet is a single corvette and they have to research up to match yours.
